Welcome to Home Works! Parent Partnership Program

Home Works! offers a unique and flexible learning experience for K-8 students, blending home-
based learning with optional on-campus instruction two days a week. Our program honors the
vital role that parents play as the primary educators of their children while providing the support
and resources to help each student thrive.

Every family is assigned a certified teacher who will guide and oversee your child’s progress,
ensuring that their educational goals are met. Together, parents and teachers will meet monthly
to review each student’s Student Learning Plan (SLP) and track their achievements. In addition,
we offer a wide variety of enrichment classes and welcome families to participate in regular field
trips, community events and learning activities, fostering a rich learning community.

As part of Cheney Public Schools, our program is tuition-free and operates under the authority of
the State of Washington’s Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) guidelines. While your
children remain full students of the Cheney School District, Home Works! recognizes that your
role as their primary teacher is central, and we are here to support and enhance your efforts, not
replace them. Our dedicated staff of certified educators and experienced instructors is committed
to helping home-school families succeed.

Home Works accepts students two times a year, fall and spring. If you would like to get on our
waiting list, please click on the ‘Enrollment Request’ tab and fill out the form.
We look forward to working with you and creating a meaningful educational experience for your
family!
